Snow Patrol to play new Irish dates [updated 22 August]

Gary Lightbody and co have also confirmed Christmas concert at Belfast's Odyssey Arena on Thursday 21 December, 2006 and Dublin's The Point the day after. With that date sold out, they've now announced another Point performance for the day after - 23 December.
The gigs will round off an eventful year for the Belfast boys, which includes them hitting number one with Eyes Open, and a warm reception in the States, where they've just cracked the top 40 singles with 'Chasing Cars'.
Tickets for the Dublin date go on sale this Tuesday 22 August, and 25 August for the Belfast date, from Ticketmaster and usual outlets nationwide.
