Snow Patrol in UK chart race with Charli XCX

Both Charli XCX's Music, Fashion, Film and Snow Patrol's 20th anniversary edition of Eyes Open are competing for Number 1 on the UK Official Albums Chart.

Based on sales of CDs, downloads, vinyl, audio and video streams and other formats compiled between Friday and Sunday, Music, Fashion, Film currently sits at Number 1.

If Charli XCX continues to lead the race, it will join her albums Crash (2022), BRAT (2024) and soundtrack Wuthering Heights as chart-toppers. It could be her second Number 1 album this year.

With the release of the 20th anniversary edition of Eyes Open, the original album from 2006 has reached Number 2.

In a report by Official Charts, the release of Eyes Open in 2006 was the biggest that year and reached over 10 million sales globally. It was recently the first to be awarded the Official Charts Hall of Fame Award as part of this year's 70th anniversary celebrations of the Official Albums Chart. The album features hit song 'Chasing Cars,' which has been named the most played song on British radio of the century.

Shania Twain is currently at Number 3 with Little Miss Twain, which could earn the Canadian singer-songwriter a seventh Top 10 LP.

Reality Awaits, The Strokes' first album in 6 years, is set to stay at Number 4.

Following Reality Awaits in the Top 10 Official Albums Chart are Michael Jackson's The Essential, Olivia Rodrigo's you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, Olivia Dean's The Art of Loving, Sienna Spiro's Visitor, Fleetwood Mac's 50 Years - Don't Stop and Nine's Lost Tapes.
