Matty Healy performs with 1975 tribute band at his own stag

Footage shared to social media shows Matty Healy singing with the tribute band, the 9075, who were hired to perform at the artist's stag party in Malibu, California.

Healy is seen dancing onstage to the 9075's rendition of 'The Sound,' the standout hit from the 1975's second studio album, I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful yet So Unaware of It, which was released in 2016.

Another clip shows Healy, joined by drummer George Daniel, as he crowd-surfs during a rendition of 'Sex'.

Details are yet to be confirmed for the English singer's wedding to American model Gabriella Leigh Bechtel, better known as Gabbriette. The couple's engagement was announced in June 2024 after attending a Charli XCX concert in Brooklyn.

Gabbriette shared the news to Instagram, donning an engagement ring and captioned the photo: "MARRYING THE 1975 IS VERY BRAT."

The group has maintained a low profile as they are on an "indefinite hiatus" from performing live, with their latest performance taking place in 2024 when they headlined Glastonbury. Their most recent album, Being Funny In A Foreign Language, is approaching its fourth birthday this year.

Healy featured as a guest vocalist on the single 'Anything He Was' from the folk group Tiny Habits, released June 17, ahead of their upcoming album Keepers.
