PinkPantheress makes history at the BRITs with Producer of the Year win
"As the first woman to win this award, I’m grateful to be recognised,” said PinkPantheress.
PinkPantheress, has made history at the BRITs, as the first women to receive the Producer of the Year award.
She has also garnered two Grammy Award nominations for her 2025 mixtape, Fancy That, which featured the viral hits 'Illegal' and 'Stateside.'
"As the first woman to win this award, I’m grateful to be recognised,” said PinkPantheress. "My music production is the thing I’m proudest of, and I’ve worked really hard at it, so I hope this inspires others to pursue their passion."
"PinkPantheress is both an inventive and instinctive voice in British pop right now,” said Stacey Tang, chairwoman of the 2026 BRIT Awards committee. “As a producer, she’s precise and playful, building bold, boundary-expanding sounds that travel beyond the UK. She’s quietly reshaping what modern pop can be, and in doing so, opening the door for a new wave of female producers to step forward.”
Past winners include The Beatles' producer George Martin, Trevor Horn, Brian Eno, David Stewart of the Eurythmics, Calvin Harris, Chase & Status and Brat producer AG Cook.
Kate Bush is the only other female producer to have been nominated for the prize, for her 1989 album The Sensual World.
PinkPantheress is also nominated for Artist of the Year and Best Dance Act at the BRIT Awards, which will take place at Manchester’s Co-Op Arena on February 28.
This year's awards ceremony features Olivia Dean and Lola Young as the top nominees, each receiving five nominations. The event will also showcase live performances from a lineup of artists, including Harry Styles, Rosalía, and Wolf Alice.
