Snoop Dogg and Calvin Harris for Phoenix Park
Another mammoth summner line-up has been announced!
Another Phoenix Park gig has been confirmed - on July 7, hip hop legend Snoop Dogg, UK DJ/singer Calvin Harris, rapper Tinie Tempah and dance collective Swedish House Mafia will all perform at the Dublin park.
It's a year since Snoop visited Dublin to play the Olympia Theatre (read our review here), and this summer, he's in the finest of hip hop company. Jay-Z and Kanye West will bring their Watch The Throne tour to the O2 on June 8 and 9.
Calvin Harris first emerged onto the dance scene with hits like 'Acceptable In The '80s' and 'The Girls', and has gone on to write and produce for the likes of Dizzee Rascal and Rihanna. Tinie Tempah, aka Londoner Patrick Okogwu, released his debut album, Disc-Overy in 2010 - it reached the No. 1 spot in the UK chart, as did singles 'Pass Out' and 'Written In The Stars'.
Swedish House Mafia comprises three DJs - Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso, who formed the group in 2008. Their monster hit 'Miami 2 Ibiza', featuring Tinie Tempah, charted at No. 4 in the UK Chart in September 2010.
Tickets for the Phoenix Park gig, priced €59.50, go on sale this Friday, March 9, at 8am.
