Sleaford Mods announce new album and Ireland shows
Tickets for Sleaford Mods' Ireland shows are on sale now.
Sleaford Mods have announced their new album, The Demise of Planet X, set to release on January 16, 2026.
The duo have also shared the single, ‘The Good Life’, accompanied by a video directed by Ben Wheatley featuring Game of Thrones actress Gwendoline Christie and Midlands band Big Special.
The Demise of Planet X follows Sleaford Mods’ 2023 album, UK GRIM, which debuted at Number 3 in the UK charts.
Frontman Jason Williamson described the upcoming album as their most ambitious release to date. The record includes collaborations with former Life Without Buildings frontwoman Sue Tompkins, singer-songwriter Aldous Harding, soul vocalist Liam Bailey, and grime MC Snowy.
“The Demise of Planet X represents a life lived under immense uncertainty, shaped by mass trauma,” Williamson said. “It feels like we’re living among the ruins. The music and ideas are really fresh and it’s in your face, but it pays to put your glasses on to look at the ingredients.”
Sleaford Mods will perform in Ireland in February 2026, with shows at Dublin’s Olympia Theatre on February 19, Belfast’s Limelight on February 20, and Cork’s Cyprus Avenue on February 21.
Tickets for the Ireland shows are on sale now.
