Lisa O’Neill announces winter solstice show at Vicar Street

Lisa O’Neill has announced that she will return to Dublin’s Vicar Street for a winter solstice show on December 21.

This follows last year’s celebratory performance on the same date.

She will also be joined by special guest Seamas Hyland and more surprise acts on the night.

The contemporary Irish folk artist is currently embarking on a tour of her home province, Ulster, as part of her effort to play in all 32 counties of Ireland.

She will perform in Donegal, Monaghan, Derry, Cavan, Fermanagh, Armagh, Tyrone, Belfast and Bangor from September 9 to 20.

The five-time BBC Folk Awards nominee released her fifth studio album, All Of This Is Chance, in 2023. The previous year, her rendition of Bob Dylan’s ‘All The Tired Horses’ closed out the final season of Peaky Blinders.

In late 2025, O’Neill digitally released her EP The Wind Doesn’t Blow This Far Right, which is comprised of six tracks, including her cover of ‘All The Tired Horses’ and ‘Homeless In The Thousands (Dublin in the Digital Age)’ which featured Peter Doherty and is a response to homelessness in Dublin, among other songs.

O’Neill is also set to tour with The Pogues for their upcoming November and December dates across Europe, the UK and Ireland, including dates on December 9 in Dublin and December 12 in Killarney.
