Sinnerboy play Rory tribute tour

Top UK soundalikes Sinnerboy mark the 10th anniversary of Rory Gallagher’s death with an extensive Irish tour.

The centrepiece is a visit to Ballyshannon for the 2005 International Rory Gallagher Tribute Festival, which finds them making the following appearances:

June 3 – Dorian’s Imperial Hotel (11.30pm + Section 3)
June 4 – Rory Tricks Guitar Workshop (1pm); Rory Gallagher Place (5pm + Seamie O’Dowd Band); and Owen Roe’s Bar (9.30pm)
June 5 – Workshop @ The Bridgend Pub (noon) and Dorian’s Imperial Hotel (11.30pm + Barry Walsh & The Short Notice Band)

Sinnerboy are also among the star turns at the Cork Rocks For Rory! gigs in An Cruiscin Lan on June 11 and 12. Joining them over the two nights are Brute Force & Ignorance, Laundromat, The Loop, Jeckyl & Hyde and Dave McHugh.

Along with that little lot, you can catch them at The Stables, Mullingar (June 2); TF Royal Hotel, Castlebar (6); McPhail’s, Drogheda (8); Axis Mundi, Waterford (9); Ormonde Hotel, Kilkenny (10 + The Loop); The Lodge, Mallow (13); Whelan’s, Dublin (14); King’s Head, Belfast (15); Lonergan’s, Clonmel (16); Roisin Dubh, Galway (17); Dolan’s, Limerick (18); and Spirit Store, Dundalk (19).

With over 60 songs in their repertoire, part of the fun is working out which Rory and Taste classics they’re going to play on the night.
