Sharon Van Etten makes date with Dublin

Sharon Van Etten opens her Dublin account with a May 18 visit to Whelan’s, tickets for which are €16.50.
Featured recently in hotpress.com’s Free Music Friday, the Brooklyn-based singer will be showcasing her debut solo album, Tramp, which was recorded in Aaron Dessner from The National’s garage studio.
Quite the hot property, Van Etten has additional hands lent by The Walkmen’s Matt Barrick, Doveman’s Thomas Bartlett, Beirut’s Zach Condon, Wye Oak’s Jenn Wasner and Julianna Barwick.
