Sharon Shannon Big Band announce Irish shows with Steve Earle, Mundy, Camille O’Sullivan and Liam Ó Maonlaí
Tickets go on sale on Friday, April 25, at 9:00am.
The Sharon Shannon Big Band have announced four Irish shows with a star-studded line-up that includes Steve Earle, Mundy, Camille O'Sullivan and Liam Ó Maonlaí.
The musician ensemble will play Wexford's The Spiegeltent on October 23, Limerick's Milk Market on October 24, Sligo's Knocknarea Arena as part of Sligo Live Festival on October 25, and Kilkenny's Hub on October 26.
Drawing from the rich anthology of Irish music and its traditions, the concerts promise "a vibrant journey through the songs that define us: songs of love and heartache, emigration and longing, resilience and rebellion, and the timeless beauty of Ireland’s landscapes."
The Big Band's exceptional line-up also includes musicians Alan Connor, Richie Buckley, and Gerry O’Connor.

As part of the setlist, Shannon, Mundy, and Earle will perform 'Galway Girl', sure to be one of the tour's highlights. Written by Earle, the song was originally recorded with Shannon, and a later version by Shannon and Mundy topped the Irish charts and became one of the country’s best-selling singles.
Tickets for the Sharon Shannon Big Band's upcoming concerts go on sale on Friday, April 25, at 9:00am.
