Skid Row announce new lead singer Justin Sargent
The band will drop their cover of The Who's 'Won't Get Fooled Again' tomorrow.
American hard rock band Skid Row have announced Justin Sargent as their new lead singer. Following a two-year hiatus and an extensive search, the group found their new frontman in their home state of New Jersey.
Sargent caught their attention last year, and after months of conversations and rehearsals, the band picked him as their lead singer, ahead of their 40th anniversary.
He commented on joining the band in a statment.
"I've been singing Skid Row songs for years, but never imagined I'd actually be joining the band! It's an incredible honor to be part of something with such a legendary history.
"The chemistry and energy we’ve found together over the past several months has been amazing. I have tremendous respect for the band’s legacy, but I’m even more excited about what lies ahead. I can’t wait to get out there, connect with the fans, and give them everything I've got. Let's go!"
Skid Row will release their cover of The Who's 'Won't Get Fooled Again' tomorrow, Friday October 30. The music video for the track is now on YouTube.
The single is available to pre-order as a limited edition signed 7 " vinyl here.
The track is produced by GRAMMY-winning producer Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Alice in Chains, Rush), who returns to collaborate with the group following his work on their 2022 record, The Gang's All Here.
The music video for the single is directed by filmmaker Dale "Rage" Resteghini, who has directed music videos for acts such as Five Finger Death Punch and Guns N' Roses.
Skid Row also have a number of upcoming North American shows in 2027. Dates include Kansas City, Atlantic City, Reno, and Daytona Beach.
