U2 announce UK and Europe 2027 dates for Carnaval De Luz presents: The Greatest Show On Earth world tour

U2 have announced UK and Europe tour dates for their Carnaval De Luz presents: The Greatest Show On Earth 2027 world tour.

Kicking off in Stockholm on April 26, the tour will head to Paris, Lisbon, Amsterdam, London and Berlin, before wrapping up in Milan on July 6. Support will come from London rockers Wolf Alice.

Additionally, U2 announced extra dates on the Latin America leg of the tour, including Mexico City on March 2, São Paulo on March 16 and Buenos Aires on March 27, with support from Beck.

An Irish date is yet to be announced.

“'The Greatest Show on Earth'? Now that's a throwdown,” comments the band. “It's a dare, to ourselves as much as anyone, to try and have the best night of anybody's life. A bit of showman, a bit of shaman, a riot of colour, unreasonable guitar, bass and drums, and tunes you can hold onto. Because if people are gonna show up, we certainly are.”

The tour comes in support of their upcoming record Carnaval De Luz, due out on November 13. The record arrives during U2's 50th anniversary year and has been described by The Edge as a "messy, provocative, sacred collection of songs."

In the first week of November, Hot Press will release the book Becoming U2, a publication about Ireland’s most successful band of all-time; about Irish music and musicians; and about what was happening in music internationally at the end of the 1970s.

Hot Press editor Niall Stokes paid homage to U2 in our most recent issue – check out his review of their anniversary gigs in Dublin here.

Tickets for their UK and Europe tour go on sale on Friday, November 6 at 10am here.
