Shallow

‘Shallow’ coasts along on a robot motown beat filtered through Version 2.0 processing, stacked harmonies, designer noise, synth strings and a vocal like Beth Gibbons’ if she quit the smokes. Skindive are to be commended for their commercial suss, but I could’ve used a little more blood in the music. Track 2 though, ‘Glass Jaw’, is though is sparser, more ghostly and more like it, with cool dub rimshots and detuned guitar.
