Sela Ward cast in Independence Day 2

Next year, Hilary Clinton will find out if the U.S. is ready for a female president; the makers of the Independence Day sequel have decided they're ready for one right now.
Sela Ward - best known for her roles on CSI: NY and Sisters - will play POTUS in the long-awaited Independence Day 2, which is slated for release in June of next year, just in time for the original's 20th anniversary.
She joins a cast which includes Liam Hemsworth, Jesse Usher and Charlotte Gainsbourg, as well as the returning Bill Pullman, Jeff Goldblum and Vivica A Fox. Director Roland Emmerich will reprise his role behind the camera.
