Oasis, Iron Maiden and Phil Collins among Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees for 2026
The induction will be held on November 14 at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles.
Oasis, Iron Maiden, and Phil Collins are among the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees for 2026.
The list was first revealed on Monday, April 13, during an episode of American Idol. To be eligible, artists must have released their first recording at least 25 years ago. Nominees were voted on by more than 1,200 artists, historians, and music industry professionals.
The recently reunited Oasis will be honoured this year. The iconic Brit-pop era defining band were also nominated in 2025, but didn't make the cut.
Iron Maiden, nominated twice before, helped power the new wave of British heavy metal with albums such as The Number of the Beast.
Collins, who already is in the hall as a member of Genesis, has earned eight Grammys, including album of the year in 1985 for No Jacket Required.
Other inductees include Sade, Joy Division, New Order, Luther Vandross, and Idol.
The induction will be held on November 14 at the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles.
In addition to the performer category, the Hall of Fame celebrates contributions of inductees across categories: early influence, musical excellence, and the Ahmet Ertegun non-performer award.
The early influence category this year will honour Queen Latifah, Cuban singer Celia Cruz, Nigerian musician Fela Kuti, rapper MC Lyte, and country rocker Gram Parsons. The musical excellence category will honour songwriter Linda Creed and producers Arif Mardin, Jimmy Miller, and Rick Rubin.
More than 50 years after his death, Ed Sullivan will also enter the Hall of Fame with the Ahmet Ertegun non-performer award in recognition of his Sunday night show. The programme promoted new musicians in the 1950s and 1960s, and helped break down racial barriers in American entertainment.
Last year's nominees also included Oasis and Collins, alongside Shakira, Jeff Buckley, Melissa Etheridge, Lauryn Hill, INXS, and more.
