The indie-pop outfit fronted by Annmarie Cullen and Cynthia Catania hit Dublin and Cork – with more dates in the pipeline.
Saucy Monky are back! The long-term Hot Press faves have announced a brace of Irish shows in June – with the possibility of other dates being added. The band play Connolly's of Leap on June 2 and Whelan’s, Dublin on June 4.
Fronted by Dubliner Annmarie Cullen and New Jersey’s Cynthia Catania, the band have released five collections, beginning with 2002’s 8 Song Sampler. Their official debut album, Celebrity Trash, was released in 2003. While original material is their forte, with two fine songwriters collaborating, their covers of tracks by Divinyls (’I Touch Myself’) and The Carpenters (‘Superstar’) have also made a huge impression, garnering extensive radio play in both Ireland and the US.
Their music is regularly used in movies and TV shows, including titles like Veronica Mars, Drake & Josh, And Then Came Lola, Blue Bloods and Alcatraz; they wrote the theme for the ABC Network show Food For Thought with Claire Thomas.

Their biggest US radio hit to date has been ‘Disco Ball (Boulevard remix)’, which appeared on their Turbulence album, originally released in 2004 and was a Top 40 AAA radio hit.
