Sanzkrit Get Italian Job
Carrickmacross Art-pop quartet, Sanzkrit have had a track selected for inclusion on the October edition of Busta, Italy’s biggest compilation CD.
Over 20,000 free copies of Busta get distributed every month in Rome, Milan and Bologne’s most trendy clothes shops, clubs, galleries and universities. The track selected for inclusion is 'Talk Of The Town' – the band's latest single in Ireland
In keeping with the Italian theme, Sanzkrit have also secured distribution for their forthcoming album in Italy with trendy indie label GetRocked.
“We haven’t even finished recording our album, but they really liked the songs they heard and were eager to work with us,” Sanzkrit front man Dave Marron told Hot Press. “They’re also going to be booking a European tour for us next summer. It’s really positive news for us. We love touring Ireland, but it is a relatively small market. We need to think bigger, just to survive.”
Sanzkrit are currently putting the finishing touches to their much anticipated debut album. The as-yet-untitled record is scheduled for release in spring 2009.
