Rob Smith to release new live EP
Live In New York & Dublin is on the way...
Dublin singer/songwriter Rob Smith is set to release his brand new live EP Live In New York & Dublin on June 9 as a download-only release.
As the title would suggests, the seven-track EP features songs played in both Ireland and New York, from such varied venues as Dublin's Vicar Street and Whelans to New York's National Underground. All tracks are acoustic numbers and were recorded between 2004 and 2010.
Six of the seven tracks are taken from Rob's two studio albums; 2008's Throwing It All Away and last year's well-received The Juliana Field. The other song on the EP is a cover of The Stone Roses' 'Elephant Stone'. An interesting choice for a cover, the Dublin native is proud to include it with his own work.
"I'm really happy with the inclusion of 'Elephant Stone' on the EP," said Rob. "I think it's a great to see such a legendary song in with all mine on the tracklisting. And it's a live favourite too."
Don't miss Rob's new EP when it hits the web on June 9. Further information is available at [link]www.iamrobsmith.com/[/link].
