The follow-up to 2008's Accelerate will be released in Spring 2011
It has been announced that REM's new album will be entitled Collapse Into Now. The Georgian band's 15th studio album will once again be produced by Jackknife Lee.
The band's manager Bertis Downs revealed the details during an appearance at the In The City music conference in Manchester. The news was then confirmed via twitter. Downs claims that Collapse Into Now will be "the band's best record yet." That certainly sounds promising, especially given their recent return to form with Accelerate, following 2005's lacklustre Around The Sun.
