Recruitment at Oxfam Ireland
The charity is looking for interns to help organise Oxjam music events.
Oxfam Ireland are seeking two interns to work throughout the summer as part of their Oxjam team.
Oxjam is the name given to music events held in aid of Oxfam. The interns will facilitate members of the public who wish to organise such events which culminate in the Oxjam Music Festival for which Oxfam try to schedule as many events as possible for the month of October.
The charity campaigns at various concerts and festivals. Throughout the summer, they will be asking concert-goers to join their new 'food justice' campaign. Interns will be helping in the build up to festivals and in the delivery of Oxfam's objectives onsite.
The selected interns must be available to work two and a half days a week, and be available to attend a number of festivals throughout the summer including Oxegen and Electric Picnic. The roles will be varied and the interns will be expected to participate in event management, online and offline promotion, administration, supervising volunteers, etc.
The ideal candidate will be self motivated, a good communicator, have a love of music and a genuine interest in Oxfam’s work.
