Rachel

Bellx1 drummer Tim O’Donovan’s side-project throttles along with some nice ambient electronica before a pulsating bass line forces its way through. With lyrics about a surfer girl and being on the beach, it’s quite summery and there are interesting little dabbles of sound flitting in and out. As an attempt at exploring a different soundscapes, ‘Rachel’ isn’t bad, though it isn’t going to mean a return trip to The OC for O’Donovan.
