PREMIERE: Deoraí highlights the experiences of refugees in Ireland with 'Páiste Bocht'
Get an exclusive look at the new video from Deoraí below.
Following the release of 'Digiteach' earlier this summer, Deoraí has returned with a powerful new single, 'Páiste Bocht' – which explores the experience of refugees in Ireland.
The accompanying video for the track, directed and produced by Gerard Walsh, depicts the journey of the refugee experience, from the point of view of a child in an astronaut suit.
According the Deoraí, the inspiration behind the track came from exploring “the experience of a refugee child arriving on a boat in Ireland and entering into a new world”.
A unique art project which translates to 'exile', Deoraí places a special emphasis on original songs written in Irish – helping to challenge the way people think about the language through music and boundary-pushing music videos.
