Pokey LaFarge set for Dublin
Rootsy songwriter visits Opium Rooms tonight
Ubangi Stomp Club have earned a reputation for bringing some of finest purveyors of roots and Americana to Irish shores, and they'll be repeating the trick tonight, with the visit of Pokey LaFarge.
The man known as Andrew Heissler to his nearest and dearest is recognised as one of the true innovators of his craft, incorporating elements of early jazz, ragtime, country blues, Western swing, and more. He's also forged quite the reputation as a live performer, so expect a rollicking night when he takes the stage at the Opium Rooms.
