The Borris House Festival of Writing and Ideas returns to the ancestral home of the McMorrough Kavanaghs, High Kings of Leinster, in Borris for its second year this June with a really interesting line-up of guests speakers.
Taking place on the weekend of June 8-9, the festival will build on the success of its 2012 maiden outing in which Colm Toibin, Lionel Shriver, John Banville, Stephen Frears, Mike Scott, AC Grayling and others visited the small Carlow village.
This years festival will bring together novelists, journalists, film-makers, poets, theatre directors, war correspondents, biographers, artists and political commentators, for a weekend of dialogue and discussion.
