Festival Voices – Hotgirl: "It certainly feels like a full circle moment to play Vantastival"

It’s great to be at Vantastival, because it hasn’t been on for a few years. It’ll be nice to come back home and show off a bit and show that I’ve been rocking it. It certainly feels like a full circle moment to play Vantastival. We’re going to celebrate and bring it all back home.

There’s something about Irish festival crowds who are so different from international ones. With the Irish music scene, everyone’s on a bit more of a buzz that you don’t get elsewhere. I think it’s because Irish people are so lovely. They’re always up for a bit of craic and conversation. It feels like you go to a set and everyone’s your friend, and you’re wrapping your arms around people who might even be strangers. It’s really obvious how that translates to the stage.
