Paramore's Williams defends ''Anti-Feminist Lyrics"
Accused of not being a feminist Hayley Williams explains the reasoning behind lyrics to 2007 song 'Misery Business'
Taking to her Tumblr blog, Ms Williams said that the lyrics of 'Misery Business' from Paramore's album, Riot! are associated with the thought's and frustration's of a 17 year old with "a very narrow-minded perspective" and do not necessarily make her a "bad feminist",
With lyrics "I never meant to brag/But I got him where I want him now/To steal it all away from you now/But God does it feel so good" included in the track suggesting William's happiness at having stolen a man from another woman, the now 26 year old claims to having not related to these lyrics in "a very long time".
Williams is set to marry New Found Glory's lead guitarist Chad Gilbert following their engagement last December.
