Cat Power announces 2026 Vicar Street show and new EP Redux
The new EP comes out on January 23, 2026.
Cat Power is set to celebrate the 20th anniversary of her landmark 2006 album The Greatest with a special tour which will make a stop in Dublin’s Vicar Street on November 7, 2026. The show will include a performance of the album in full.
She will also mark the occasion with the release of a brand new 3-song EP Redux, set for release on January 23 via Domino Recording.
The new EP includes a brand new re-recording of James Brown’s classic, ‘Try Me’ which was among the first recorded tracks during the original sessions that produced The Greatest, but never completed.

Elsewhere, Redux also includes a stunning rendition of Prince’s iconic ‘Nothing Compares 2 U,’ recorded in tribute to the late, great guitarist Teenie Hodges, a legendary member of The Memphis Rhythm Band that backed Cat Power on The Greatest.
Finally, the EP also boasts a re-imagined version of one of the standout tracks on The Greatest, ‘Could We’, newly recorded in the arrangement that was performed live on The Greatest Tour with Dirty Delta Blues.
Tickets for Cat Power's Vicar Street show go on sale Friday, November 7 at 10am here.
You can pre-order Redux here.
