Irish folk-metal band The Scratch have announced their upcoming album Pull Like A Dog, set to release on March 13, 2026.
The group have also shared the album’s title track, which lead vocalist Daniel Lang said is about “tossing aside the idea of apologising for merely existing… grabbing life by the scruff and being loud about it.”
The single’s accompanying video, directed by Paul Gleeson, was filmed on the shores of Lough Ree.
The Scratch are set to embark on a European tour this November, followed by a series of Irish shows before the end of the year.
The band’s Irish dates will begin in Killarney’s Gleneagle Club on December 13, followed by shows at The Social, Derrybeg on December 19, Set Theatre, Kilkenny on December 20, The Haven, Dunmore on December 21, and Spirit Store, Louth on December 22. They will then head to The Nerve Centre, Derry on December 27 before ending at Imperial Night Club, Cavan on December 28.
Formed in Dublin, their second album Mind Yourself (2023) debuted at #1 on the Irish Vinyl Charts and #3 on the IRMA Albums Chart, earning a nomination for Irish Album of the Year at the Choice Music Prize.
Their music was also featured in Netflix’s House of Guinness, the new series from Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight.
According to guitarist Conor Dockery, Pull Like A Dog represents “a new beginning” for The Scratch: “The changes we’ve faced have given us room to grow… this album embodies openness, perseverance, and positivity.”
