Listen to the new release below.
Dublin rock band Lir have released a collection of previously unreleased demos from the group's early years.
Recorded in Dublin and the U.S., many of the songs were performed in the band's late 1980s and early '90s Irish shows.
The 10-track project features 'Chapter 1', 'Icicles', 'Zulu left turns', 'Digidabadida', 'Old Maid', 'Advice to Cottage goers', 'Memorial', 'Trilogy', 'Groove Improvement' and 'Scarlet Buttons'.
Emerging in the late '80s, they released their debut album All Machines Hum in A in 1992, followed by Magico Magico! and Nest. The group have put out two EPs, including 1995's This Appeared and 1997's 7000 Apes 600.
Following the release of Magico Magico! and the hit single ‘In a Day’, Lir signed to the U.S. label WAR, where they based themselves for a number of years.
A documentary on the band Good Cake Bad Cake: The Story of LIR was released in 2011.
