Waxahatchee's Katie Crutchfield debuts new band Snocaps with twin sister
The album includes features from North Carolina-based musicians MJ Lenderman and Brad Cook.
Waxahatchee's Katie Crutchfield and her twin sister Allison have announced their new band 'Snocaps' with a surprise album.
The self-titled debut was dropped on October 31, with an announcement made to Katie's social media. The release marks the sisters' first project with each other since releasing music under punk band P.S. Elliot in 2011.

Katie is known for forming alternative-folk project Waxahatchee, named after the river in Alabama where the sisters were brought up. Waxahatchee has been nominated for Best Americana Album for Tigers Blood (2024), and has toured with artists such as Willie Nelson and Bob Dylan. She last toured in Ireland in 2024.
After the break-up of P.S Elliot, Allison went on to form Philidelphia-based music group Swearin', before the band's split in 2015.
Snocaps 13-track debut features collaborations with North Carolina-based musicians MJ Lenderman and Brad Cook, with Cook holding nearly all of the record's production and audio engineer credits. Lenderman previously featured on Tiger Blood's standout single 'Right Back To It'.
The newly founded duo has announced a US tour with dates in Chicago, Los Angeles and New York.
