Scottish soul-boy Paolo Nutini proves that absence only makes the heart grow fonder today, as he hits No. 1 on the Irish Album Chart at the first time of asking.

The recent Hot Press cover star returns four years on from his last album release with Caustic Love, and it is in with a bullet at the summit of the chart this week.

Just below, we get the debut album from the latest bunch of youthful-pop-rockers-with-good-hair The Vamps. Meet The Vamps grabs second spot.

Kodaline continue to be there-or-thereabouts, as In A Perfect World occupies third. Just below is Ellie Goulding, while homegrown rock 'n' rollers of the moment, The Riptide Movement, round off the Top 5.

There's a new entry at No. 6, as Celi De Collective's Hymns Of Passion And Resurrection recounts the story of Holy Week using old and modern Irish hymns.
