Belfast's winter arts festival running from 6 - 31 January will be hosting an impressive new selection of comedy, music, theatre and literature.
Started in 2006, the Out to Lunch Arts Festival has a tradition of serving up audiences a delicious lunch along with an array of entertaining acts. 2010 will be the festival's landmark fifth birthday.
“We’re surprised and delighted to reach the milestone age of five given that the festival was only ever intended to be a one year project!" says Out to Lunch director Sean Kelly. He adds, "Yet audiences demanded more and have kept growing year after year. We put this down to the great value of our ticket prices and a programme which strives to be challenging, thought-provoking and, above all, entertaining. If it keeps growing at this rate, Out to Lunch is in danger of overshadowing our main festival in May.”
The OTL 2010 menu includes both new acts and old favourites. In the comedy programme will be award-winning stand-up comedian Robin Ince, Andrew Maxwell, and OTL regular Kevin McAleer back by popular demand.
The theatre and literature line-up includes author Brian Keenan (I’ll Tell Me Ma), Chris Mullin (A View from the Foothills), hilarious one-man act Mr B the Gentleman Player, Rebecca Vaughan, and Black Books in the Black Box.
