Having avoided the studio since ’99s 13, Blur return to the fray with ‘Out Of Time’ – a slow, melancholy number with a distinctive production twist that makes it sound as if it’s being played through tin can speakers in the middle of the Arizona desert. Albarn’s lulling voice provides some familiar charm, as does the sweet simple melody, giving us even more excuse to soak up their new direction.
