Offica shares video for new single 'Living Proof'
Watch the video below.
Nigerian-born, Irish-raised rapper Offica as shared the music video to his striking new single ‘Living Proof’, released 8 Septmeber via MOVES recordings.
‘Living Proof’ shows Offica's evolution as a multifaceted artist who has more to him than just Drill, with gentle piano and stripped-back afrobeat percussion providing a minimalist backdrop for his slick wordplay.
The track and video are being shared in the build up to his debut album Hokage, out 6 October 2023.
Since dropping the Naruto Drillings four years ago, Offica has skyrocketed to domestic and international acclaim.
He has dropped tracks with YouTube phenomenon KSI, as well as achieving the highest streaming UK Drill freestyle of all time.
Now the rapper is ready to drop a two-part album that “takes in his foundations as a rapper and pushes in an all-new direction”, according to a press release.
Part one, Hokage, focuses on his established sound of anime-infused party drill contrasting with more introspective rap.
Part two, titled Hokage in Lagos, pushes into a new Afrobeat direction, sampling the likes of Wizkid, D’banj and Psquare.
In promotion of the project, Offica is heading out from Ireland to hit London, Sydney, and Lagos.
