Radie Peat plays studio session for French radio
Listen to the full session below
Ahead of the release of her eagerly anticipated debut solo album, No Human Tongue Can Tell, Radie Peat has played a live studio session for France Culture, part of the French national public radio broadcaster, Radio France.
She's joined for the session, recorded in Paris, by another boundary-pushing Irish musician, Aoife Hammond, on guitar and backing vocals. The set includes performances of 'Willow Garden', 'Still I Love Him' and 'The Moon and Stars' – all of which feature on Radie's upcoming collection of folk songs, out November 13 via Rough Trade Records.
The French radio appearance comes ahead of her performance at Trabendo in Paris on February 1, 2027.
The Dublin singer and multi-instrumentalist has already released numerous albums as a member of both Lankum and ØXN. Lankum's latest studio album, 2023's False Lankum, won the Choice Music Prize for Album of the Year, as well as scoring nominations for the Mercury Prize and the Ivors. As a solo artist, Radie has also featured on both of KNEECAP's albums, contributing to '3CAG' and 'Cocaine Hill'.
In addition to her Vicar Street show in Dublin, Radie Peat will play a series of headline gigs in Europe and the UK over the months ahead, including Union Chapel in London (November 3), Paradiso in Amsterdam (January 31), Trabendo in Paris (February 1), and the Barbican Centre in London (May 19). She'll also play in-store events at Rough Trade East in London (December 2), and Resident Music in Brighton (December 3).
