Oasis release 'Morning Glory (Unplugged)' ahead of album’s 30th anniversary edition
Oasis have released an unplugged version of 'Morning Glory' ahead of the 30th anniversary deluxe edition of (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, set for release on October 3. The reissue will feature five newly recorded acoustic tracks, including 'Wonderwall' and 'Champagne Supernova'.
Oasis have released a new unplugged version of their song 'Morning Glory', taken from the upcoming 30th anniversary deluxe edition of their 1995 album (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?. The full reissue is scheduled for release on October 3, through Big Brother Recordings.
The deluxe edition will feature newly recorded unplugged versions of five tracks: 'Morning Glory', 'Cast No Shadow', 'Wonderwall', 'Champagne Supernova', and 'Acquiesce', the latter of which was made available earlier this year. The tracks were produced and mixed by Noel Gallagher and Callum Marinho using the original master recordings at Gallagher’s Lone Star Sound studio in London.
Originally released in October 1995, (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? remains the third biggest-selling studio record in UK chart history, according to the Official Charts Company, and was named the most-streamed album of the 1990s by National Album Day. The album moved 22 million copies worldwide. It includes songs such as 'Wonderwall', 'Don’t Look Back in Anger,' and 'Champagne Supernova'.
The new release coincides with the band’s ongoing Live ’25 tour. The UK leg concludes this weekend with two shows at Wembley Stadium in London. The tour will then continue across Asia, Australia, and South America, with dates in Seoul, Tokyo, Melbourne, Sydney, Buenos Aires, Santiago, and São Paulo through November. Earlier in the tour, Oasis played two sold-out nights at Croke Park in Dublin, drawing more than 150,000 fans across both nights.
The 30th anniversary edition of (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? will be available in digital, double-CD, and three-LP formats, including limited coloured vinyl editions.
