Leslie Odom Jr. of Hamilton announces two Irish shows this November
The Tony and Grammy Award winner will perform a selection of songs from the American Songbook, reimagined pop favourites and musical theatre classics, including songs from Hamilton.
Leslie Odom, Jr, best known for his role as Aaron Burr in the hit Broadway show Hamilton, is set to perform two shows in Ireland this November.
Odom will play The Waterfront, Belfast on November 4 and The Bord Gais Energy Theatre, Dublin on November 5.
Odom was part of the original cast for Lin-Manuel Miranda's Hamilton, which first debuted off-Broadway in January 2015. The show proved to be a big success and took to Broadway in July of the same year. In July of 2016, Odom completed his run as Aaron Burr on Broadway.
Following the success of Hamilton, Odom worked on films such as Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, Murder on the Orient Express and One Night in Miama.
He also appeared in television shows like Abbott Elementary and Imperfect Women.
In March of 2018, Odom released his first book, Failing Up: How to Take Risks, Aim Higher and Never Stop Learning. Then, in March 2023 he released his first children's book I Love You More Than You'll Ever Know, co-written with Nicolette Robinson.
Since first appearing on Broadway at age 17 in Rent, Odom has gone on to release six full-length albums.
Odom returned to reprise his role as Aaron Burr for his West-End debut in the Victoria Palace Theatre, with shows spanning from July 3 to September 5.
