Northern punk legends hit the comeback trail
The Outcasts are playing August's Rebellion festival.
Reformed – well, sort of! – Belfast spiky-hairs The Outcasts are Blackpool-bound between August 4 and 7 for the annual Rebellion punk blow-out.
The ‘Just Nother Teenage Rebel’ (spelling never was their strong point) crew feature prominently in Hooleygan: Music, Mayhem, Good Vibrations, the new Terri Hooley biography, which is also being turned into a film.
While they never managed to follow Good Vibes labelmates The Undertones into the mainstream charts, the band amassed a loyal following who obsessively followed them wherever they played.
Also on the Winter Gardens bill are The Damned, The Exploited, The Dickies, The Boys, Slaughter And The Dogs, Anti Nowhere League, UK Subs, Peter & The Test Tube Babies and Adam Ant who after his much publicsed mental health issues is back playing live and about to unleash his Adam Ant Is The Blueback Hussar In Marrying The Gunner’s Daughter album.
