North Strand Kontra Band set to rock The Workman's Club

An utterly unique act from Dublin's North Side, the North Strand Contra Band are a seven-piece instrumental band whose music draws on Romanian and Bulgarian influences. They create quite the party atmosphere wherever they go and they are now coming to The Workman's Club.

They headline the Dublin venue on Friday February 4. With support in the form of high energy rock 'n' rollers The Hot Sprockets and DJ sets from Davey Holland and Brian Harrington, it will be as good a way as any to start both the weekend and the Springtime.

Tickets cost €10 and doors open from 8.30pm til very late.
