Judging by this debut release, I might be convinced. Indeed the self-heralded Rulers Of The Planet exist right here in Ireland. Their EP is an impressive feat that comprises five searing tracks of pure punk energy and thoughtful rock compositions. Standout favourites ‘Phone No.’ and ‘Dimension X’ reveal Barry McAuliffe and his band at their fiery best. On top of the underground support they’ve established in gigs around the land, the unsigned four-piece from Cork have recently attracted considerable major record company attention.
