Nine Inch Nails working on new music in 2014

Trent Reznor has had a busy few months – in between the release of Hesitation Marks, their well received 2013 album, and scoring David Fincher’s adaptation of Gone Girl, he was appointed Creative Director of Beats Music for their launch in 2013.

In a recent Rolling Stone interview, Reznor was asked about his current commitments and what lies in store for the frontman in 2014.

“We’re leaving to go to tour mid-to-late February, in Australia with Queens [of the Stone Age]," he says. "We’ve got dates booked through the end of the summer. A lot of touring ahead. Just started on a new product. Can’t tell you what it is yet. It will take place while touring. New music maybe this fall. Every spare second, and even seconds that aren’t spare, are trying to wrangle this new creation into shape.
Really? What else can you say about the recording project?  That’s more than I should’ve.”
Even though he has a packed schedule, does this mean we will get a quick follow up to Hesitation Marks? The smart money is now on yes.
The current touring schedule (with and without Queens of the Stone Age) runs until late June, including dates in Europe. As of yet no Irish dates have been announced, but stay tuned to Hot Press for the latest developments in the world of Trent Reznor and Co.
