Van Morrison announces new album Somebody Tried To Sell Me A Bridge
The record is set to release on January 23, 2026.
Van Morrison has announced his new album Somebody Tried To Sell Me A Bridge, out January 23, 2026.
The news follows the artist's June record Remembering Now, which reached the UK Top 10 and was rated an 8.5 by Hot Press.
His new project interprets classic blues songs made famous by B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Leadbelly and more, along with Morrison's original work. The 20-track record features collaborations from modern blues musicians, including Taj Mahal, Guy, Elvin Bishop, John Allair and more.
Morrison first rose to fame with the band Them in 1964, before launching his solo career in 1967 with the hit single 'Brown Eyed Girl' and debut album Blowin' Your Mind!. With 45 albums to his name, he remains one of Ireland's most celebrated musicians.
In August, the artist completed a run of 80th birthday shows at Waterfront Hall in Belfast. He is set to play Bath's The Bath Forum on April 29, 2026, following his five-gig run of shows in San Fransisco next February.
