I saw a man have a swim in a bin during the heatwave. ‘Can’t a man have a swim in his own bin on the hottest day of the year?’ He exclaimed, quite rightly. And I have thought about that video every single day since.

Your hope for next year?
To play loads of shows. To record an album. To throw myself completely into music.

What tickled your funny bone?
The bin guy again. But apart from him: Mister Romantic – John C Reilly. That man is one glorious human being.
