Nile Rodgers gets cancer all-clear

Nile Rodgers has taken to Twitter to announce the excellent news that he has received a clean bill of health following his lengthy battle with cancer.

"I just spoke to my doctor. My journey back to normal has been tough, as of today ALL OF MY TEST are clean! *truly grateful*"

Johnny Marr ‏was among those offering their congratulations shortly after the news broke. Arguably the highlight of this year's Forbidden Fruit festival, Nile makes a welcome return to Irish shores alongside Chic when they play Vicar Street next week.
