New Westport Festival Of Music additions
Jools Holland, Imelda May and The Undertones will all play.
Taking place on June 23 and 24, the initial batch of acts announced for the Westport Festival Of Music was extremely strong (Ray Davies, Waterboys and Seasick Steve, anyone?) and now the event has just got even bigger.
Today brings another announcement, as we learn the likes of beloved piano man Jools Holland, punk rock royalty The Undertones, Irish rockabilly icon Imedla May and US soul star Macy Gray are all set to play. Joining them will be Rocco DeLuca, hotly tipped Northern folksters The Lost Brothers and the brilliant Royseven.
Described as “a grown-up festival for music fans who treasure their record collections”, it will take place across three stages and include artisan food and a family area “to rival any festival in the world.”
The bash is taking place in the grounds of Westport House, an 18th century country pile, which rather excitingly has its own Pirate Adventure Park.
Tickets priced €75 (one-day) and €130 (weekend) are on sale now from [link]www.ticketgroup.ie[/link] and Xtra-vision outlets nationwide.
