New radio listening figures released
Radio 1 dominate nationally, while South East Radio, KCLR 96FM, Galway Bay FM, WLR FM, Radio Kerry, Highland Radio & i102-104FM will all be popping corks!
The latest quarterly Joint National Listenership Research figures have just been released by the BCI.
Nationally, there’s little movement in the Weekday Share Figures (7am to 7pm), which have Radio 1 at 23% (+0.3%), 2fm at 10.9% (-0.7%), Today FM at 10.6% (same), Newstalk at 3.7% (+0.1%) and Lyric FM at 1.6% (-0.1%).
Radio One remains top in Dublin with 32% (+0.6%) with FM104 at 11.5% (-1%) and Dublin’s 98 at 10.9% (-0.1%) bagging second and third.
Q102 will be pleased with their rise to 8.1% (+1.1%) while Phantom 105.2 register a modest increase to 1.7% (+0.1%).
Of the new multi-city and regional services, 4FM have achieved a 1% Weekday Share in their franchise area while i105-107FM start on 0.5%
There’s better news for sister station i102-104FM who are up to 9.1% (+1.8%).
Going around the country, Highland Radio remains top of the local pile with a whopping 64.2% Weekday Share (+1.8%). There are sizable gains for South East Radio at 34.9% (+3.3%), KCLR 96FM at 33.2% (+3.1%) and Galway Bay FM at 23.4% (+2.8%) and more modest ones for WLR FM at 48.4% (+1.4%) and Radio Kerry at 49.7% (+1.1%).
