New project from Iron Maiden man
Primal Rock Rebellion is go...
A new year brings a new venture for veteran Iron Maiden axe-man Adrian Smith as he teams up with former SikTh front-man Mikee Goodman to bring Primal Rock Rebellion to the masses.
It's an interesting combination given Smith's old-school leanings and Goodman's unique vocal style.
"It was interesting doing this album with Mikee not least because we have quite different influences," says Smith. "I was really pleased with the way it turned out. It has a really fresh feel to it."
Goodman is also enthusiastic about the new project.
"This album takes you on a really deep and colourful journey, lyrically and musically. Adrian and I were both very open to experimenting with each others' musical styles and influences, which we feel created something new and exciting."
The album is expected on February 27 and features Abi Fry of Bat For Lashes and original SikTh member Dan 'Lord' Foord on drums among the personnel. First track 'I See Lights' is available now for free download from [link]www.primalrockrebellion.com/[/link].
