Music is brutally honest in trailer for Straight Outta Compton

A new preview for N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton reveals a little bit more of the cinematic telling of the rise and fall of the legendary rap group.

Featuring Easy-E, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, MC Ren and DJ Yella, N.W.A. made some of the most dangerous, severe and topical rap of their time and all time, born from their real-life experience living in Compton. The film looks to honor their legacy and emphasize its continued relevance today.

Starring Aldis Hodge, O'Shea Jackson Jr., Jason Mitchell, Corey Hawkins and Neil Brown Jr. as N.W.A. and Paul Giamatti as manager Jerry Heller, the film hits screens August 14.
