What a song! Marc Carroll’s Hormones continue to strive for that maximum pop high with this warm tribute to the right honourable Brian Wilson. A simple and sincere doff of the cap to the blue-eyed genie of the West Coast, it’s carried along on a wave of boyish enthusiasm and the sort of undulating melodies and beautiful multi-layered harmony vocals that can only be described as imitations of immortality. If there are discmans in heaven, I’m taking this one with me.
