New York-based musician Miss Grit (Margaret Sohn) has announced their upcoming album Under My Umbrella, due April 24, alongside the release of the single 'Stranger'.
The song follows the delivery of the first single 'Tourist Mind', released in October of 2025. 'Tourist Mind' was Grit's first release since their 2023 debut album Follow The Cyborg.
'Stranger' was mixed and co-produced by Aron Kobayashi Ritch of Momma, and accompanied by a video visualiser. The album Under My Umbrella includes several collaborations with film scorer Sae Heum Han (mmph), bassist Margaux Bouchegnies (Margaux), singer Eva Liu (Mui Zyu), producer Luciano Rossi (Mui Zyu), drummer Preston Fulks (Momma), and violinist Zachary Mezzo (Catcher).
"I feel a deep connection to this record that I haven’t felt about my music until now," said Grit about Under My Umbrella.
Miss Grit makes electronic, experimental music and has toured supporting Nation of Language and Bartees Strange in 2023, as well as The Last Dinner Party in 2024. They also performed on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert's LateShowMeMusic series, with the title track of Follow The Cyborg.
